Moving Blues

As you may have noticed I have not posted in a few weeks. Nor have I posted much on Facebook, my primary social networking platform of choice. In case you were wondering why I have been MIA, it’s because I will be moving soon. It’s actually a temporary move, one that will bring my sons and me closer to my husband, who works over 700 miles away in a different state.

I hate moving. It’s even worse when it’s temporary and you have to pick and choose what to bring and what to leave behind. Sometimes I feel like I’m choosing between my own children, especially when packing clothes (yes, I have a lot. I’m a woman, what do you expect?!) The worst part, though, is packing kitchen items because I love to cook. My husband does not, so he has essentially one spatula and one frying pan along with a set of dishes he purchased at Walmart. Yes, I’ve already packed four large boxes from my kitchen and I’m not even finished.

In writing news…

Camp NaNoWriMo ended a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I did not complete my word count for Neverland Academy. However, I did get a lot accomplished, having almost reached the climax of my story. In light of the chaos that surrounds me, I have taken a short break since then to let the story simmer in my head and hope to pick up and complete the novel within the next month after I get settled. I still plan to have an official cover release on June 1, so be on the look out for that. Until then, I’ll be packing and unpacking…

About Daelynn Quinn

I'm an author, artist, and mother to three crazy little boys. I feel at home in nature, especially amongst trees. Writing and painting are two of my intense passions, sometimes accompanied by a box of wine. And I have a Monty Python sense of humor. Albatross!
